Good morning, folks. Let’s begin with the current state of the face for pledged delegates. According to The Green Papers, Joe Biden has extended his delegate lead to +82.
As the counting continues in California, Sanders delegate lead in the state is decreasing, which is adding to Biden’s lead. Sanders lead in CA is now down to +7 (34%-27%). It was nearly 9% on Super Tuesday.
FiveThirtyEight is projecting that after today’s critical primary contests Joe Biden will add 53 delegates to his current lead.
The additional haul would increase his lead to 135 pledged delegates (this includes TGP’s current del estimate).
Then Nate explains how difficult this lead would be to overcome, if their projections hold through the March 17 primaries.
Sanders would then have to win the remaining contests by 30%, which is an unrealistic scenario.
In other news, Kamala, Cory and Gretchen were with Joe in Detroit last night for a rally. Great pic and video of our party unity.
