In Missouri, the only issue on the ballot was for President.
This morning (7-9 am) I helped a friend running for state representative in my district in Kansas City by handing out flyers. The primary is not until August.
The state representative district is overwhelmingly white and overwhelmingly Democratic (there has not been a Republican on the ballot for state representative in the last two elections). My present state representative, who is running for the state senate, tells me it is the second richest district by household income in Missouri.
At the precinct I was at, everyone who came to vote was white. Just before I left three males in their late twenties had come to vote with a child under three. My impression is that most of my neighbors are professionals and/or retired. There are very few college students in my neighborhood. Perhaps there was one voter who might have been around twenty vote when I was there.
This area is known to consistently have the highest turnout in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Over the past couple of elections my neighborhood votes early. I was somewhat surprised by how low the turnout was so far. There were times when no one was voting. Just as a left, there was finally a line of four people.
After finishing handing out flyers, I went to my own precinct, which was less than a block away from where I was handing out flyers. Again, there was just one person in front of me before signed in.
I expect that Biden should do very well where I live and across the entire state. Like me, I expect a lot of the Biden vote where I live will come from Warren supporters. However, if turnout is not very high, Sanders will keep the margin close.
How is it going where you are voting today?
