YouGov has released a poll showing Democrats are taking the coronavirus pandemic much more seriously and are taking more precautions than Republicans.
The poll taken March 8 throught March 10 showed 61% of Democrats are very or somewhat worried about coronavirus but only 37% of Republicans are. Some 24% of Republicans say they are not worried at all.
“Democrats are taking more preventative measures, too. Some 23% of Democrats have cancelled travel plans, compared with just 14% of Republicans. The share of survey respondents who said they had worked from home was 19% and 9% for Democrats and Republicans, respectively. Moreover, 9% of Democrats have donned a medical face mask in public; only 5% of Republicans have done the same.”

The NCAA will conduct its March Madness college basketball tournament without fans present in the auditoriums.
“I have made the decision to conduct our upcoming championship events, including the Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, with only essential staff and limited family attendance,” NCAA President Mark Emmert said in a statement.
The Golden State Warriors are the first NBA team to announce it will play without audiences.
