Trump just announced the suspension of all travel starting Friday between Europe and the US — except the United Kingdom — for 30 days to contain the spread of coronavirus.

He didn’t mention that the UK has the fourth highest number of deaths from the virus of any European country,
White House officials believe Europe is the single biggest originator of new coronavirus infections, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.
"A real threat right now is Europe," Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told a House committee last Thursday. "That's where the cases are coming in. Europe is the new China."
The funny thing is that there is probably more direct travel between the UK and China than any other European country.
I am sure that it didn’t help that Merkel had been upfront that Germany can expect 50-70% of the population to contract the disease at some point.

Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!” On Tuesday, he told reporters that the coronavirus “will go away.”
