President Trump told a group of governors Monday morning that they should not wait for the federal government to fill the growing demand for respirators needed to help people diagnosed with coronavirus.
“Respirators, ventilators, all of the equipment — try getting it yourselves,” Mr. Trump told the governors during the conference call, a recording of which was shared with The New York Times.

For some reason this made me more angry than anything else in the imbecile has done. This equipment is said to be stockpiled (from NPR):
Rows of ventilators, which can support people who are having trouble breathing, are kept charged up and ready to roll at a moment's notice.

Over time, the mission of the stockpile has expanded to include preparations for pandemic influenza and threats such as hurricanes and earthquakes. It has anti-flu drugs, generic medical supplies like gloves and needles and even quick-to-assemble medical centers complete with beds.
Eventually, the article concludes with the notion that the stockpile which includes many items that cannot be revealed. can’t help much because “it will be up to state and local workers to fight the virus.” This implies we don’t have enough medical workers to use the equipment.
Many are making it clear we are fighting a war. Shouldn’t the stockpile be opened under such circumstances?
Drumpf is in a press conference right now saying, “. . .they can get them faster on their own. If they are able to get them faster. . .and they are ordered. . .[word salad]”

I will update if the news conference reveals anything more. . .
He was asked how many ventilators we have. . .we will get you a number. . .we have a lot. . .more word salad.
4:30 pm on MSNBC: we have over 90,000 ventilators but that is not nearly enough. . .
