Our Primary is being moved by executive order by our Governor, Gina Raimundo. The original date was April 28. The new date will be June 2. It will be primarily by mail, whatever that means. I don’t know if that means there will be a few polling places open for those that want to breath in some Corona Viruses. Here is an article in The Hill about this. The ballot will be downloadable from the Secretary of State of Rhode Island site. Somebody posted a link on Facebook, that is supposedly a link to this ballot, but I still see the April 28 date on it, so I have not posted this link, since it may not be valid for the new primary date. For those who don’t have access to a printer, there will be an option to having a ballot mailed to you.
This is a breaking story, so I will assume there will be a link and instructions on the SoS site within the next few days.
I’m glad we are doing this. It’s the right thing to do. Exercising your democratic rights should not get you in the hospital or killed, although this has been known to happen here in the Land of the Free.
