The Democratic front runner for president hit the airways and social media proactively refuting the misinformed, callous and downright dangerous information coming from Trump.
On The View, which averages 2.8 million viewers daily, Joe Biden addresses the inane notion that certain segments of the population are expendable:
On CNN, Biden extolled the sacrifices and commitment of the American people, and encourages us to support one another. No one can know for certain what the outcome of this crisis will be, but we know Biden has faced hardship and tests and his call to remain hopeful in the midst of uncertainty is genuine.
As the number of reported COVID19 cases in the US rises above 50,000, Biden again stresses that we must listen to scientists.
I can certainly understand some wanting a more “fiery” Biden—there is plenty angst and anguish to go around; however, what I believe is needed is a calm, reassuring and quite frankly sane response from Trump’s likely opponent. One who lays blame squarely where it belongs; but who also understands that we need facts, however hard they may be, so that we can face this crisis with resolve.

Also, consider joining one of the state-specific groups located on Biden’s Facebook page. These are good places to recharge with supporters before getting back into the general social media fray (which can be ugly). As the election season intensifies, online groups may prove even more necessary as “boots on the ground” campaigning becomes more unlikely (at least in the near-term).
So, let’s work together to amplify Biden’s message. While “everyone knows Joe”, he’s not going to get the same coverage as the sitting president. However we, the Democratic faithful, can share his message within our social media networks, view, like and retweet posts from the campaign, try to ignore distractors (it will be far worse in the general) and do everything we can to get Trump out of office.
