This is a way to frame the Dan Patrick/Trump argument against social distancing, which is likely to gain traction amongst conservatives. So you are the party of life unless profits are threatened? I can’t help but think of George Carlin’s line about life starting at conception and ending at birth. Then it becomes highly expendable as you age.
PS To me, to allow the deaths and expect the economy to crank along is nuts—people will see the death totals and self-quarantine as much as they can. We’ll have an economic slowdown either way. Might as well chose life!
