I think if we were a parliamentary system, Warren would be the best choice for Prime Minister – she’s smart, inspiring, and has a plan for just about everything, and a good plan too.
This diary is not a call for Warren to drop out.
That being said, we are not a parliamentary system, and Warren has no clear path to the nomination victory with Sanders and Biden still in the race, and Warren is not the best candidate for winning the general election.
1. Warren only leads one Super Tuesday contest, and comes in 2nd in only one other.
2. Warren is greatly behind in current delegates count, with no state in front of her to deliver the Biden-in-SC victory to catch up.
3. As of this past Friday, Warren ran weakest against Trump in general election matchups of all candidates except Klobuchar.
Even the two reclist diaries supporting Warren were timid in their claims on electability:
No one can definitively say who is or isn't electable, but in my opinion, she is the most electable of any of the remaining candidates.
You have every right to vote for Warren.
Elizabeth Warren has every right to continue to run, and I hope she outlasts Bloomberg who also has no clear path.
Warren, by any objective or well-reasoned measure as of today, is not the best candidate to win the primary or general election.
