Senator Warren isn’t done fighting, not by a long shot.
I just called all three of her offices, hoping to speak with a staffer, but I guess I wasn’t the only one that had that idea.
She said it from the start. She is the most capable of building coalitions. She’s a better fighter today for having waged this campaign, and she has never been in a better position to persist in that effort.
The message I left, below the fold.
I wanted to share with you my appreciation. You have always been a fighter, and I know you are undaunted by the work ahead. Keep fighting.
You earned my respect because I could always tell you and your staff are listening. We need you to convey to Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden what they need to hear.
Bernie Sanders and you shared almost all of my priorities and have worked to build the two most impressive grassroots campaigns I’ve ever seen in one primary contest. Many folks that have been working at this for decades like me haven’t been convinced that Sanders is giving his young supporters the tools to build coalitions with their elders.
Joe Biden has moved his platform slightly in your direction but hasn’t campaigned like he is willing or capable of building coalitions based on the change we need, rather than where the votes already are. He’s selling us on the myth that there’s any future in waiting for the GOP to come to their senses.
I don’t know how much either one of them will hear these truths and transform that into something meaningful, but I trust you as the messenger.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
