There is a pattern to Biden’s policies.
Education
Joe want’s to make community colleges free:
As president, Biden will build on this progress by enacting legislation to ensure that every hard-working individual, including those attending school part-time and DREAMers (young adults who came to U.S. as children), can go to community college for up to two years without having to pay tuition.
Health Care
Joe wants to do the minimum necessary to keep poor people alive:
This means that no family buying insurance on the individual marketplace, regardless of income, will have to spend more than 8.5% of their income on health insurance.
Rural America
We all learned years ago that micoloans to help the poor are right wing bullshit right? Not Joe:
The Biden Administration will expand the Obama-Biden Administration’s microloan program for new and beginning farmers, doubling the maximum loan amount to $100,000.
Green America
As a Tesla owner I certainly appreciate this policy but how are the less fortunate going to afford new cars (or cars at all):
Biden will also work with Congress, the private sector, labor unions, mayors, and governors to build a national electric charging system of 500,000 public charging outlets, so that by 2030, Americans will be able to drive anywhere in the United States in an electric car.
Immigration
Different kind of wall:
Biden will work with Congress to reform the current system of temporary work visas to allow workers in these select industries to switch jobs, while certifying the labor market’s need for foreign workers. Employers should be able to supply data showing a lack of labor availability and the harm that would result if temporary workers were unavailable.
I’m sorry but it does matter who the Democratic Party nominates. If separate but equal neoliberal policies are advanced then another, possibly worse, Trump will be inevitable.
