Lost in the Ozarks posted a recent diary of the beautiful butterflies in her area (see her moniker). I wrote that I had a migrant that she would like. The photo above gives you the reason for the first part of the butterfly’s common name. Here is the reason for the remaining title.
With the huge variety of things to photograph here, and an interest in many things, it is hard to stay focused on one subject. I force myself to study birds. Hayseed looks at the total environment and it shows in his photography. Here is a mix of different things that cross his path or share his yard.

The animals that call Mississippi home are numerous. The migrant wildlife is triple that number (at least). Here are two species of “permanent resident” woodpeckers performing seasonally (but daily) chores. This video is 2:30 minutes long.
The air is full of sounds. Mingled with the Brown-headed Cowbird in the following video, are other birds easily recognized by birders. There are also the sounds of humans and tree frogs. A 1:10
minute film.

I’ll finish up this series with a few night shots from Jeff’s trail camera. Just because the sun goes down doesn’t mean the world stops. The last of this 1:38 minute video includes a two day creatures. I didn’t have anywhere else to include them but they needed to be seen.
