Our republic is on life support. tRUMP and the GOP are doing everything in their power to pull the plug on this country. The only hope for this nation is that Joe Biden wins on November 3rd and drives Mango Mussolini from the Oval Office. Unfortunately the Democratic Socialists of America did not get the message. Instead they have explicitly come out against endorsing Joe Biden, the only candidate with any chance whatsoever of driving the orange ignoramus from the White House:
The Democratic Socialists of America or DSA is a left-wing political organization which has been a huge backer of Senator Bernie Sanders:

The DSA refused to endorse Hillary Clinton in 2016 after Sanders ended his campaign even though she was running against tRUMP (and look what that ultimately got us):

Now the DSA is making the exact same mistake they made four years ago.
The actions of the DSA remind me of the foolishness of the Green Party deciding to campaign in swing states even though it may cost Joe Biden the election. I wrote a diary on this a couple of weeks ago:

The fact of the matter is that I am 99.999999% that the next President will either be Biden or tRUMP. There is no foreseeable way that the Green, Libertarian, or Constitution Party candidate will win the White House. As such, Biden needs all the votes he can get if he wants to send tRUMP packing. Unfortunately, their are people on the far-left who cannot or will not vote for a candidate they consider “flawed” no matter what the consequences. These folks are at best idealistic and naive and at worst downright stupid. They remind me of this one quote by Charles Peguy: “Kantian idealism has pure hands, but it has no hands.”
The problem with many Utopian idealists is that reality promptly ensues and smashes all of their dreams to pieces:

For example, during the negotiations between the Bolsheviks and the Germans to end the war on the Eastern Front in 1917 Trotsky came up with the program “neither war nor peace.” At first the Germans were stunned, but they then concluded that if there was no peace then there was still war. As such, they launched a massive invasion known as Operation Faustschlag which forced the Bolsheviks to sue for peace and grant even greater concessions to the Kaiser. Se what happened when the Bolsheviks ignored reality:

If the folks in the DSA and other far-left organizations think that a Biden presidency would be bad wait until they experience four more years of tRUMP. Say bye-bye to Roe v. Wade, the environment, and a million other things. If you think a conservative stacked Supreme Court is the road to socialism then you are beyond my help.
One last thing I want to talk about is the double standards of hardcore Sanders supporters (please note I mean to criticize the “Bernie or Bust” crowd and not his more reasonable backers who voted for Sanders in the primary, but are willing to cast their ballots for Biden in the general). When Sanders was in the lead everyone was told to “bend their knee” before the presumptive nominee. However, now it is Biden who will be the presumptive candidate and hardcore Sanders supporters claim the right to not vote for Biden or only vote for him if he concedes to their numerous demands. I hate to break it to you, but the Democratic primary was a contest which would have only one winner. If you did not like this fact you should not have competed in the first place. Many “Bernie or Busters” look like sore-losers who are taking their balls and going home, because they did not like the outcome of the primary. Also, they cannot complain about the fact that Biden was one of the more conservative candidates in the primary, because many of his opponents to the left could have easily won if all the Sanders supporters got behind one of them. Likewise, I have not heard a single Kamala, Pete, or Elizabeth supporter threaten to sit out the November election. They understand what is really at stake if tRUMP is reelected.
Finally, it should be noted that I am no hypocrite. I voted for Biden in the primary and I have mixed feelings about the Senator from Vermont. Nonetheless, I am a firm believer in “vote blue no matter who” and if he won I would have voted for Sanders in November (or Warren, or Pete, or Kamala, or even *ugh* Bloomberg). The stakes are too high not to vote for the Democratic candidate in November no matter who he or she would have been.
In conclusion, the DSA may not have loved Joe Biden. Nonetheless, they should have looked reality in the face, swallowed their pride, and endorsed Biden. The alternative is worse. Far Worse.

More bad news. It appears that the presumptive Green Party nominee, Howie Hawkins, heard of the DSA’s refusal to endorse Biden and now Hawkins is trying to get their votes:
