Deny the “part-time Florida Man” the 29 electoral votes available in Florida in the 2020 election. To do THAT, we need to run a Democrat in every single of the 120 State House races and all 20 of the State Senate races that are up for election. Bethesda 1971 wrote a piece that outlined the 140 district strategy, here!
There are about 20 candidates that have joined the cause but, now that they can’t knock on doors for petitions, they need to make sure they can raise $1,800 each for qualify for their races (but, maximum donation is $1,000). Some of these candidates can be found on 90for90.org, which is dedicated to running candidates, even in tough areas.
Here are four people running tough state legislature races in Florida that you can help right now! Can you donate $5 to these four candidates and make sure they make the deadline?
1. Ryan Terrell, State House 7. Ryan is running for one of the largest and very rural state house seats in Florida. He is also running aginst an oil executive. Let’s keep him on the ballot!
2. Angie Nixon, State House 14. Angie is up against an incumbent that is technically a Democrat but votes against the environment 89% of the time (has a D on the DECF Green Report Card). Support Angie to make sure we have real Dems in the legislature.
3. Josh Lopez is running for State House 77 in deep red Robert E. Lee county, Florida. All seats in the area have been controlled by Republicans for over two decades. Josh is going to help cut the voter margins for 45 and throw more votes to Biden. Let’s make sure that he can keep doing that.
4. Yvonne Hayes Hinson in Florida State House 20. Yvonne is running for a seat that covers Alachua and Marion counties. Let’s help her help us all by ensuring her filing fees are covered.
WE NEED THEM TO STAY ON THE BALLOTS. Let’s help them to help us cut 45’s margins in his “home” state and send those electoral college votes to Biden.
We are recruiting new candidates who are filing paperwork, setting up bank accounts and websites. Stay tuned!
Bye FL Man!
