I confess to paying less and less attention to MSM COvid-19 coverage: after so many time of seeing the clown trip on his feet and fall on his ass, it just isn’t funny anymore, not when nurses and doctors and grocery workers and others are risking their lives for us, and people are still dying. So I haven’t seen any polling around support for Stay at Home Orders. However, a poll in this afternoon’s Oregonian , conducted by DHM research, show a whopping 80% support in Oregon for Governor Brown’s “Stay Home, Save LIves” order. www.oregonlive.com/...
The poll showed support is exceptionally deep across parties — 96% of Democrats, 72% of Republicans and 77% of Independents support staying at home. And the poll showed deep skepticism for rushing to open the economy, even if unemployment rises to 15%. Like many states, Oregon saw a neo-Tea Party protest last week, but it appears that, at least in Oregon, it is a lot of smoke and noise by a few yahoos that doesn’t have any traction at all in the broader citizenry. What a surprise: even with all the distractions, people really do get it.
