Christine O'Donnell must hate Joe Biden. She ran for Senate against him 2008 -- losing massively, with just 35% of the votes to Biden's 65%. The Tea Party backed her next attempt at a Senate seat in 2010 -- which she also lost -- before morphing into a Fox News contributor. 10 years later she made up a story about watching Joe Biden saying something inappropriate to her 14-year-old niece.
O'Donnell knows what she's doing. She's a professional PR person and media consultant. The only problem is she's lying. While O'Donnell and her niece Eva Murry made up a claim to have seen Joe Biden at the Gridiron Dinner in 2008 -- Biden was actually home recovering from surgery all that week (which is corroborated by actual newspaper articles). The event's organizer specifically remembers being disappointed that Biden couldn't attend -- watching for him but being clear that no, he was a no-show on that evening.
Christine O'Donnell became famous after a clip surfaced during her failed election campaign in 2010 in which she said she'd "dabbled into witchcraft... I never joined a coven... I hung around people who were doing these things... We went to a movie and then had a little midnight picnic on a satanic altar." (O'Donnell actually had to release a campaign ad where she explains "I'm not a witch...") O'Donnell lost big, winning just 40% of the vote.
But now this Tea Party/Fox News bobblehead apparently wants to smear Joe Biden....
