Today, Daily Kos announced key findings from a statewide survey of Kansas commissioned through Civiqs. The poll of 699 registered voters was conducted online from May 30-June 1 and has Democrat Barbara Bollier leading against two of three GOP candidates in the U.S. Senate primary. Bollier bests Kris Kobach 42%-41% and Bob Hamilton 41%-40%; she trails Roger Marshall 42%-41%.
While Kobach’s approval/disapproval rating languishes at 35%/54%, he leads among Republican primary voters.
Trump leads Joe Biden 52%-40% in the state--a significant drop from his 20-point win here in 2016.
“This Daily Kos/Civiqs poll brings hopeful news for Kansas Democrats,” said Carolyn Fiddler, communications director for Daily Kos. “Voters have already rejected Kris Kobach in favor of a Democrat once by electing Laura Kelly governor in 2018. Kobach’s current 9-point lead over his strongest competitor suggests that Kansans will again have the opportunity to spurn this divisive Republican in November and elect Democrat Barbara Bollier to the U.S. Senate.”
