This news is a stunning bombshell to say the least, given how Vlad and Donnie are “BFFs” — and have personal, secret chats on a regular basis.
Russia Secretly Offered Afghan Militants Bounties to Kill Troops, U.S. Intelligence Says
Charlie Savage, Eric Schmitt and Michael Schwirtz, NY Times, June 26, 2020; www.msn.com
[...]
An operation to incentivize the killing of American and other NATO troops would be a significant and provocative escalation of what American and Afghan officials have said is Russian support for the Taliban, and it would be the first time the Russian spy unit was known to have orchestrated attacks on Western troops.
[...]
Any involvement with the Taliban that resulted in the deaths of American troops would also be a huge escalation of Russia’s so-called hybrid war against the United States, a strategy of destabilizing adversaries through a combination of such tactics as cyberattacks, the spread of fake news and covert and deniable military operations.
What’s just as stunning is that Donnie-doormat was briefed on these “bounty hunter” attacks on American military personnel, back in March this year — and he DID NOTHING.
The intelligence finding was briefed to President Trump, and the White House’s National Security Council discussed the problem at an interagency meeting in late March, the officials said. Officials developed a menu of potential options — starting with making a diplomatic complaint to Moscow and a demand that it stop, along with an escalating series of sanctions and other possible responses, but the White House has yet to authorize any step, the officials said.
Well, not quite “nothing” ... Donnie Da-man only a few months later, once again pressed fellow G7 leaders, to let his “pal” Vlad, back into their global-economic club:
BBC News — June 2, 2020
[...]
On Sunday, Mr Trump told Russian President Vladimir Putin of his plan to invite him to the summit.
[...]
But Mr Trump's invitation to Mr Putin has drawn the ire of the UK and Canada, whose leaders said on Sunday they would not support Russia's readmission to the group.
Russia was expelled from the group - previously known as the G8 - in 2014 in response to its annexation of Crimea.
"Russia was excluded from the G7 after it invaded Crimea a number of years ago, and its continued disrespect and flaunting of international rules and norms is why it remains outside of the G7, and it will continue to remain out," Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said at a news conference.

A normal leader would had taken one of the “menu of potential options” against Russia, as recommend by his National Security Council.
A normal American would be out-raged at Russia’s lethal aggression against our military overseas.
An uncompromised president would not still been doing Vlad’s bidding, as America’s response to the targeting of our soldiers, in another country on a peace seeking mission ...
The Constitution’s Treason Clause: Seldom invoked despite threats
by Scott Bomboy, constitutioncenter.org — July 14, 2017
Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution spells out what is considered treason in the United States: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.”
Under this narrow definition there only have been about 30 treason trials in the United States since 1789.
One really has to wonder, what dirt does Vlad have on Donnie STILL, that compels him to “aid his endeavors” to get back on the world stage. To help consolidate Vlad’s quest for global power.

Wouldn’t we all love to be “a bug” in all those late-night calls?
...
Somebody should be.
