It sounds like a set-up for a bad joke….
“A Jew walks into the hospital and….”
but hey, it is me..so why should I expect anything ordinary?
I got out last week from the hospital with my own hot self feeling fine for the first time in months, if not years. I was too excited, I think.
3 days post-discharge I started getting symptoms of what I knew to be a COPD exacerbation (Damn years of smoking). Sure enough I was told to go into the hospital and treated for it. I was doing fine until, suddenly, one night, I started losing many cc’s of blood from of all places my stomach. I have a history of small bowel issues but never anything with my stomach… until now.
Gastroparesis for 100, Alex.
i will spare you the details suffice it to say NG tubes are not fun. I get one a year or so but I had to have an emergency one but in, along with an emergency endoscopy, etc…..until the new diagnosis. Not fun. At the same time I was told that I had a new kidney stone that I needed to have a stent placed for so I did that earlier today and so after 5 days of being in the hospital I escaped!
I feel tons better, thank G-d and wanted to wish everyone a safe and healthy 4th of July. Please be mindful of our 4 legged friends and family during this time of loud noises.
