According to multiple news reports (e.g., www.theguardian.com/...) Mary Trump’s forthcoming book alleges that in order to procure a good SAT score, Donald Trump purchased a fraudulent test sitting by “his buddy,” “Joe Shapiro, a smart kid with a reputation for being a good test taker.” (Other news reports allege that this was done to support Trump’s request to transfer from Fordham to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.)
I don’t know how Ms. Trump claims to have come by this information nor what corroborating evidence she might be able to produce, but it seemed worth sharing that a quick Google search unearthed a November 17, 1980 New York Magazine article (archived in Google Books) which (at 30) refers to a “Joe Shapiro” as Donald Trump’s “college friend.” See books.google.com/…
For what it’s worth.
