There is an obituary rapidly going viral on twitter and elsewhere for David Nagy, late of Jefferson, TX; who recently died from COVID-19.
Texas resident David W. Nagy, 79, died of COVID-19 on July 22, 2020, and his wife Stacey Nagy published a fiery obituary in the local newspaper condemning politicians she said failed to take the pandemic seriously, including U.S. President Donald Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
The obituary expresses not just grief over Nagy’s death from COVID-19, but also anger, stating his death was needless and the result of negligence by others.

“The blame for his death and the deaths of all the other innocent people, falls on Trump, Abbott and all the other politicians who did not take this pandemic seriously and were more concerned with their popularity and votes than lives,” Nagy wrote. “Also to blame are the many ignorant, self centered and selfish people who refused to follow the advice of the medical professionals, believing their ‘right’ not to wear a mask was more important than killing innocent people.”….“Dave did everything he was supposed to do, but you did not,” Nagy wrote to the politicians and anti-maskers in the obituary. “Shame on all of you, and may Karma find you all!”

Jefferson, Texas is at a border between two Congressional Districts. TX-4 was represented by John Ratcliffe until he was named Trump’s Director of National Intelligence; TX-1 is represented by Louie Gohmert; so the family has any number of politicians they can point at.
Condolences to the Nagy family, and may David rest in peace.
