This is short, but I’ve found this change interesting. In the past couple of weeks, I see tons of Biden TV ads, and no longer see any Trump ads. I live in the Green Bay, WI media market, and we were seeing many ads by both campaigns through August, but now the Trump TV ads seem to have evaporated.
CNN says both campaigns have been spending a lot in advertising in the battleground states, including WI, and I wondered if the Trump ads are becoming more digital than television based. However, according to the four charts in the above CNN article, both are spending more heavily in WI on TV and radio than on digital advertising. The figures only run through August 31, and today is September 10. I am seeing a change, and wondering if the cash imbalance is catching up with Trump’s campaign. The cancellation of his Nevada rallies, supposedly over crowd-size restrictions, seem suspicious enough to make me wonder if it’s the cash shortage driving this. I’ll keep watching as the election gets closer, but found this interesting enough to share.
