Boy, that was fast!
My ballot was picked up from my mailbox on Thursday around 5 PM.
My ballot somehow slipped through the evil clutches of Louis DeJoy and made it to my county’s election office and was accepted according to an email I received at 12:20 AM today. The email says:
“Your ballot for the 2020 General Election was accepted. Thank you for voting!”
I am getting emails on the status of my ballot because I signed up for Ballottrax which is available in North Carolina this year.
But your results may vary. Even if my ballot was lost in the mail or my mailing was rejected by he election office, I would get a chance for a redo because I mailed it early.
All the swing states have some kind of absentee ballot tracking system.
Even if you deliver your ballot without using the post office, deliver it early and track your ballot. 2% of ballots are being rejected so far in North Carolina for this election, and these are the one’s that are received so it has nothing to do with the post office.
