Yet despite these mail-in voter fraud claims being baseless, Trump has repeatedly stated that if he loses, he likely won’t concede the election. He’ll sue. He’ll cry, whine, piss and moan while squatting in the White House like a vagrant. He’s counting on confusion, he’s counting on uncertainty, and he’s counting on packing the Supreme Court with his hand-picked crazed conservative cult-member Judge, Amy Coney Barrett.
The ending of this series is going to get interesting.
We of course all know that at this point in time, the election is not much in doubt. Trump has created enough enemies in both parties, among farmers who’ve been slammed by his foreign tariffs, and among blue collar workers who’ve continued to lose manufacturing jobs despite his bogus promises that Biden has a double-digit lead right now.
Biden could lose Georgia, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina and Ohio and still win the race. He doesn’t even need those states. There is, at this time, no way for Trump to win. Even if he ran the table on the toss-up states, he still loses. if they split the difference on the toss-ups, Trump loses in a landslide.
This is, of course, why he’s decided to cheat.
HIs attacks on mail-in voting are intended to cast doubt on the election process and open up a hole where he can claim ”victory” based on the walk in votes cast.
He tried to have his donor/puppet Louis Dejoy sabotage the post office to slow delivery of mail-in ballots, but that plan has blown up in his face.
A federal judge in New York on Monday dealt the latest blow to U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s effort to enact major operational changes to the U.S. Postal Service amid the coronavirus pandemic, ordering the post office to reverse the changes in the coming days.
In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Victor Marrero handed a victory to plaintiffs including Mondaire Jones, who won the Democratic primary in New York’s 17th congressional district in July and sued the USPS last month after DeJoy and President Donald Trump “deliberately incapacitated the postal service,” as Jones wrote in USA Today at the time.
Jones, New York state Sen. Alessandra Biaggi, and mail-in voters in states including Wisconsin and Pennsylvania demanded that the court reverse changes such as the cutting of overtime pay for mail carriers and extra trips to ensure all mail is delivered in a timely manner.
Marrero on Monday ordered the USPS to treat all election mail as Priority and First Class mail starting September 25, as mail-in voting has already begun in states including North Carolina and Virginia; to pre-approve all overtime pay for post office workers between October 26 and November 6; and to file weekly reports keeping the public informed of its progress in ensuring all election-related mail can be delivered in time for votes to be tallied on November 3.
With this Federal court order in place, election mail will be delivered on time. So Trump’s hope that his sabotage would leave most ballots by Democratic voters uncounted has been foiled.
But of course, he’s not done. Now we have the announcement of a big DOJ investigation of 9 discarded ballots.
Major news is coming in over the “case” of the nine “discarded” ballots from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania that President Donald Trump revealed to Fox News Radio on Thursday.
Here’s what appears to have happened, and we’re going to bullet point this so it’s easy to follow.
- The ballots were discarded by a temporary, or “contract” worker assigned to sort the mail who appears to have been following direction.
- The ballots were military ballots, not absentee or other by-mail ballots.
- The county immediately reported what happened to federal officials, who appear to have immediately politicized the issue.
- “Because these ballots were returned in envelopes similar to absentee ballot requests, elections officials opened them,” The Washington Post reports. “If the ballots weren’t then enclosed in another envelope which shielded the actual vote being cast, they may have been considered ‘naked ballots,’ a term used to describe mail ballots returned without the voter’s intent being protected.
- The Trump campaign and the Pennsylvania GOP in a lawsuit argued that “naked ballots” should not be counted. They won that lawsuit. These nine ballots appear to be “naked ballots,” and that appears to be the reason they were thrown out.
This is not a scandal. This is not a “mystery.” This is not evidence of an “evil deep state plot” against Trump. This is what the Republican Party requested to happen to these kinds of ballots.
Naturally, that’s not how Trump or Bill Barr see it. You can’t talk someone out of the crazy or the evil. They’re gonna be crazy and evil anyway.
Then you have the tragic death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which has prompted this huge fight over implementing a replacement for her seat before the election — something that has literally never happened before when this close to an election.
The confirmation hearings for Trump's pick Amy Coney Barrett are likely to quickly become a three-ring circus with fireworks on the side. Particularly because, she’s in a cult.
As President Trump appears poised to announce a nominee to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, we speak with a former member of the secretive Catholic group People of Praise, known for its rigid gender roles and lifelong loyalty oaths, which apparent front-runner Judge Amy Coney Barrett is a member of. “Many call it a community, but I describe it as a cult,” says Coral Anika Theill, who was a member of People of Praise from 1979 to 1984 and is now speaking out against the organization.
CORAL ANIKA THEILL: I was a member of the People of Praise — many call it a community, but I describe it as a cult — in Corvallis, Oregon. I experienced abuse and torture by my husband, Marty Warner, Independence, Oregon, and the cult leaders, as well as shunning, shaming and a smear campaign against me when I escaped and left. For safety, I legally changed my name, and I’ve lived under a state address protection program from my ex-husband for the past 20 years.
Even though I left the People of Praise cult, I didn’t have any rights, due to being married to my husband, who was a cult member. I was under the authority of my husband and his authoritarian head, Ed Brown. Under their authority, I was forced to attend meetings, but because I had defied leadership and their authority, I was forced to sit on the floor outside of their meetings in the hallway at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. There’s dozens of witnesses that have seen how I was treated. What I would ask listeners to consider, even though they say this is a healthy group, to consider how I was treated and if this would be correct for Amy Barrett to be treated.
One time I had a miscarriage in 1984, and I had to have a D&C surgery. After I returned from the hospital, I was forced to attend a People of Praise women’s meeting, or handmaidens’ meetings. I had a head that was also woman, besides my husband. They wanted to go shopping, and I couldn’t, due to returning from surgery and feeling weak. I left the meeting to go home and rest, as my doctor had ordered. I was met by my husband and forced into the car, kidnapped against my will, where I was driven to the cult leader’s home. I was interrogated until wee hours of the morning and psychologically abused. The next morning, the community was informed to shun me. I would never allow anyone to treat me this way today, and it traumatizes me to admit this was my life at that time.
Yeah, well, so there’s that to consider.
The danger of Barrett taking a seat on the court not only puts the election potentially at risk, it is a major danger for the Affordable Care Act case which begin oral arguments in November. And then of course, there’s Roe v Wade which would also be at risk with 6 Conservative Judges on the court. Even if Justice Roberts again takes his swing vote position, the demands of stare decisis might not be enough to keep the case law alive.
This can’t be allowed to happen, Barrett has to be blocked or delayed. She has to be Garlanded. Trump can’t be allowed to steal this election. We can’t have the ACA go down and put 20 million people off their health care in the middle of a global pandemic. We can’t have Roe invalidated and put this lives of pregnant women at severe risk in unauthorized back door procedures.
Joe Biden has to win.
Russia has been trying to knock him down with bogus rumors about corruption, but that ploy has failed.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) took a swing at Joe Biden on Wednesday, releasing a report that he has repeatedly vaunted as being catastrophically damaging for the former Vice President’s electoral hopes.
But it was a miss. The report — which purports to document the effect that Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma had on U.S. foreign policy — is a rehash of long-debunked allegations that served as the focus of President Trump’s impeachment last year.
But Senate Republicans summed up the result of their probe as well as anyone: “The extent to which Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board affected U.S. policy toward Ukraine is not clear,” the report reads.
Beyond that, the report fails to add anything else in terms of new allegations or substantiation, though it does devote significant pages towards attacking “liberal media outlets” which reported that the probe was funneling Russian disinformation.
The farthest the report goes towards suggesting that other officials even reacted to Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Burisma is a quote from George Kent, a top State Department official who said in 2016 that the younger Biden’s position was “very awkward” for the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv’s work in spurring the Ukrainian government to fight corruption.
Russian hackers have tried to break into a Biden campaign contractor’s system but failed.
Microsoft recently alerted one of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s main election campaign advisory firms that it had been targeted by suspected Russian state-backed hackers, according to three people briefed on the matter.
The hacking attempts targeted staff at Washington-based SKDKnickerbocker, a campaign strategy and communications firm working with Biden and other prominent Democrats, over the past two months, the sources said.
A person familiar with SKDK’s response to the attempts said the hackers failed to gain access to the firm’s networks. “They are well-defended, so there has been no breach,” the person said.
Since Hunter-gate went down in flames Trump has decided to turn to China in order to take Biden down.
For much of 2020, the President and his allies have pushed disinformation around the former vice president focused on Ukraine, in part because of the country’s role in President Trump’s impeachment and in part because of its byzantine relation to Russia’s 2016 election interference. But there have long been signs that Trumpworld would also seek to peddle misleading attacks around China.
[...]
Meanwhile, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has been pushing the narrative that Beijing is covertly supporting Biden, telling Fox News in August that China wants Trump to lose in November. Trump himself has made similar claims.
What China “wants” doesn't much matter unless they attempt to do something about it — which apparently they haven’t. This ploy is not likely erase the interference currently being implemented by Russia.
So far, all these efforts to destroy Joe Biden have failed. Hopefully, that continues. At this point all he has to do is walk on the debate stage and debunk all of Chris Wallace’s Trump talking points without falling on his face or “falling asleep” and this race is in the bag.
Fingers crossed. Good thoughts.
