For decades Atlanta has celebrated Martin Luther King Day with a March intended epitomize the message and legacy of Dr. King. For a number of years I was privileged to help in organizing for the March under the leadership of the late, great Rev. James Orange.
Sadly this year for first time the March was suspended because of the Covid pandemic.
To maintain the spirit and of the day and this tradition, I present an album of photos from past years.
"He stayed active right up until the end... The Martin Luther King celebration this year fell on the 21st [of January, 2008]. He was still conducting it from his hospital bed. If you wanted something... he was still calling the shots."[15]
