Citing a CNN story, the Arizona Mirror reported tonight that Arizona Representatives Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs, both Republicans, asked Trump for a pardon on his way out the door. News just broke that Steve Bannon is on the pardon list, but Gosar and Biggs are not likely to receive a nod. Sorry guys, if Trump pardons you, two elected officials who aided an attack on democracy, it might piss off the Senators deciding his fate, many of them victims of the riot, so do you even have to ask?
Arizona Republican Congressmen Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar have asked President Donald Trump to preemptively pardon them for their roles in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, but the president has no plans to do so, CNN reported Tuesday.
Along with Alabama’s Mo Brooks, Gosar and Biggs were implicated in the planning of Jan. 6 by Ali Alexander in a widely circulated Twitter video. Both Arizona officials were involved in the early “Stop the Steal” movement in Phoenix, as was Alexander and the Horned Chewbacca nitwit. Gosar and Biggs also sent dozens of tweets and retweets about the big day leading up to Jan. 6. Both spoke to the crowd that morning, before Trump. I lost count of the number of times they told the mob to “fight.”
Gosar is infamous for his family appearing in political ads for his opponents, because they know what a dangerous bigot he is. His brother thinks the congressman committed treason. Insurrection is nothing new for him: When the criminal rancher Cliven Bundy took on the government, Gosar went up to stand proudly with the lawbreakers, against the feds.
Biggs has been around the Oath Keepers a while too, at least since 2015 when he appeared at a rally for Kelli Ward, the Q spore who was taking on Sen. McCain in the GOP primary. That’s when the Oath Keeper founder said McCain should be hung. Nice people, the same crowd the world saw Jan. 6.
It seems the two congressmen are a little antsy, asking for a pardon and all. They also blamed antifa, just in case. A lot of incriminating arrows are pointing toward Arizona, and these two bozos are in the bullseye.
[Oh shite, Trump just pardoned Rick Renzi, another criminal Arizona congressman, but that’s another diary. To absolutely no one’s surprise, Renzi’s pardon was supported by Paul Gosar.]
