A few weeks ago, I told my wife and friends that we hadn’t seen the depth of criminal depravity, and won’t see it until Trump is out of power.
Well, just a couple of days after he’s out, NYTimes and WaPo come out with corroborating stories of Trump’s illegal scheme to force the US Attorney General (basically going AG shopping to find one who would do it) to lie about ongoing DOJ investigations into voter fraud in Georgia.
When that didn’t work, he proceeded to call the Georgia SoS directly, and try to extort 11,780 votes out of Georgia, so that he would “win” the state.
But wait, there’s more!!!
Apparently, Donny didn’t stop at attacking his own branch of the federal government, and several states’ election officials including two governors, the Legislative branch. Nor did he stop at inciting insurrection as they voted to certify Biden the winner……..he absolutely had to go for the third and final branch, too.
An irreversibly stupid and illegal hat-trick of election fraud.
Now, the Rupert Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal is getting in on the act too.
In a desperate effort to delegitimize Joe Biden’s legitimate election victory, former President Trump reportedly urged the Justice Department to directly ask the Supreme Court to overturn the election results — an attempt that fell flat after DOJ leadership refused to take up Trump’s request, according to the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.

According to the WSJ, senior officials at the DOJ — which included Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, former Attorney General William Barr and former acting Solicitor General Jeffrey Wall — refused to grant Trump’s request that the agency file a lawsuit challenging Biden’s victory before the former president left office last week. Rosen, Barr and Wall concluded that there was no basis to challenge the election outcome and the federal government had no legal interest in whether Trump or Biden won the presidency.

“He wanted us, the United States, to sue one or more of the states directly in the Supreme Court,” a former administration official told the WSJ, before adding that “the pressure got really intense” after the Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) in December that attempted to overturn Biden’s election victory.
An outside lawyer working for Trump reportedly drafted a brief that the then-president wanted the DOJ to file, but officials refused, according to the WSJ.
As soon as he was out of office, the flood-gates are opening. People at all levels of government will begin to tell their tales of his tsunami of depravity.
Donny lost his “fixer” Michael Cohen, so he just tried to turn the entire U.S. Government into his own personal fixer.
He failed.
