Lucy Lawless (Xena the Warrior Princess) summarized in one scathing tweet the reality of the insurrectionists and domestic terrorists, who trump and his cabal refer to as “Patriots”. She aptly called them the flying monkeys, homegrown terrorists, QAnon actors and douchebags.
These words were carefully chosen; they are not mere epithets hurled at Kevin Sorbo; they, very perceptively and insightfully, dissect the QAnon movement and its manipulative leaders.
Sorbo played Hercules alongside Lucy Lawless in the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Kevin Sorbo, who tweeted that the characters in the image don’t look like patriots, is a trump supporter and has been writing similar tweets all week, supporting the false narrative that “antifa” somehow infiltrated the rabid mob and was responsible for the violence and mayhem. Note that the image in the tweet has probably been manipulated, but it seems to be representative of what transpired inside the Capitol.

A number of right-wingers are pushing this completely baseless theory that liberals infiltrated the pro-Trump protests against democracy and instigated the violence the crowd committed.
This idea has permeated the far-right sphere of influence on Thursday, even though it’s completely false. The conspiracy theory comes from the conservative Washington Times, which published an article on Wednesday claiming a facial recognition software company identified left-wing agitators in the frenzied terrorist mob.
The only problem? The company referenced in the story says the Washington Times made it up and issued a cease-and-desist order against the publication. The Washington Times then unpublished the article.”
Lucy Lawless is unabashedly liberal, vocal and very articulate. And she knows how to throw a punch!
Her activism on climate change goes much beyond words. In May 2009 Lawless became a "climate ambassador" for the Greenpeace "Sign On" campaign. In February 2012, Lawless and six other Greenpeace activists boarded an oil drilling ship at Port Taranaki, New Zealand, and remained on it for 77 hours to stop it leaving for the Arctic where it was going to take part in oil exploration. She was subsequently arrested and charged with burglary. en.wikipedia.org/...
There are a lot of response tweets that contain words of admiration and respect for Lucy Lawless.
Here is a look at the Flying Monkeys from the Wizard of Oz -
Here is one of the “flying monkeys” proudly describing her participation in the storming and vandalization of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
It is strange how most of these people were taking pictures, shooting videos, and making statements, without trying to hide their identities. Most of these images and videos will get posted on social media.
BTW, Jenny Cudd is a former mayoral candidate for Midland, TX. I suspect she will be getting some visitors from the FBI soon.
Check out the article in the above tweet for more details and some horrifying images from the attack on Congress on Wednesday.
It does seem that in the midst of many republicans publicly speaking out against trump, cabinet members and staff resigning in protest and the media backlash, trump and the QAnon movement has been wounded somewhat. We can take some comfort in the realization that these baboons are not very good at insurrection. They will probably retreat for a while, but what comes next?
- Will this movement die out under the Biden administration or will it grow, perhaps under the guidance of more capable leaders?
- Will trump become their de-facto leader, more openly than he has been so far, and bring along the expertise of some of his campaign staff?
- Will the republican party split?
- Will trump get sidelined and others take on the mantle of cult leader?
- Will the Kremlin continue to feed this ravenous movement?
- What should be done to prevent this descent into madness of so many Americans?
The Kremlin is apparently quite delighted with the events this week -
We need to keep reminding ourselves of Abraham Lincoln’s prescient words and keep working to preserve our Democracy —
From whence shall we expect the approach of danger? Shall some trans-Atlantic military giant step the earth and crush us at a blow? Never. All the armies of Europe and Asia...could not by force take a drink from the Ohio River or make a track on the Blue Ridge in the trial of a thousand years.
No, if destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men we will live forever or die by suicide.
