Trump called in to a Steve Bannon and Amanda Chase election event yesterday in Richmond VA. State senator Chase was one of those who accompanied armed protesters to Pennsylvania during the 2020 election.
Bannon has recently admitted his role in planning the 1/6 insurrection, and may get a criminal referral for defying a Congressional subpoena.
Trump ironically has made a statement demanding his supporters not vote in 2022 and 2024 to force something, something… Big Lie.
“Glenn Youngkin is a great gentleman,” Trump said, predicting the Republican will beat Democrat Terry McAuliffe while reiterating his false claim of victory in last year’s presidential election. “We won in 2016. We won in 2020 — the most corrupt election in the history of our country, probably one of the most corrupt anywhere. But we’re gonna win it again.”
Trump created a stir hours earlier with a written statement that some Republicans feared could depress turnout in the Nov. 2 gubernatorial election: “If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ’22 or ’24.”
Youngkin’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment about Trump’s statement and whether it impacts the party’s effort to get Republicans to the polls in November. But rally organizer John Fredericks said he thought Trump was merely warning voters that they have to get more involved to protect the sanctity of elections, such as serving as a poll watcher.

Youngkin launched his campaign with an “election integrity task force,” and has spent months lying about the 2020 election. This summer, Youngkin headlined an insurrectionist-sponsored “election integrity” rally. This came after Youngkin suggested that the disgraced former president could be reinstated into office.
The extreme right-wing rally with Sears and Chase comes on the heels of Bannon’s refusal to comply with subpoenas from the House select committee tasked with investigating the Capitol insurrection on January 6. Bannon will defy the subpoenas from the House committee based on Trump’s ‘direction.’

Meanwhile, further north in Maryland:
U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Hollander today issued an injunction reversing the city’s decision to cancel the event sponsored by Michigan-based St. Michael’s Media, which publishes a conservative Catholic website called Church Militant.
The group sued the city, Mayor Brandon Scott and City Solicitor James L. Shea, arguing that the cancellation infringed on their constitutional rights to free speech, religion and assembly.

Shea originally called a halt to the November 16 event – to be held at the city-owned MECU Pavilion on Pier Six – saying it could cause “significant disruption.”
City lawyers argued in U.S. District Court in Baltimore that the presence of speakers like Bannon and right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos in the city could lead to violence.
Attorneys for St. Michael’s Media said the event posed no threat, pointing out that the group held a similar rally at the Inner Harbor in 2018 without incident.
The “Bishops: Enough is Enough Prayer Rally” is timed to coincide with the annual fall meeting of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, to be held at the nearby Marriott Waterfront.
Church Militant, which produces videos and articles about Catholic news, regularly blasts the bishops for covering up sex abuse within the Catholic Church. The group also denounces them for supporting LGBTQ rights, globalism, immigration and other causes they regard as immoral or dangerous.
The Southern Poverty Law Center lists Church Militant/St. Michael’s Media on its watch list of hate groups as a result of anti-LGBTQ ideology and organizing.
