My father liked the television show Rawhide. I was a young boy when the series aired and found the music rousing. When I would go outside to play, the melody would linger in my mind and I imagined riding a horse on a great cattle drive with the other cowboys. I never thought a thing about skipping along in a canter.
I would end up “Bobbing along” to simulate the bouncing I would feel in the saddle on top of a quality steed.
As I grew older, different tunes came and filled my life. My being formed around those lyrics. Here are a few that affected me. I found messages of young love in song.
I discovered things outside my self centered wants and needs. Here’s and example.
I found music for my future that was created by talent that relied on classical themes.
I find my motions have become deliberate with those older songs stored in my mind. I have a lovely wife that I want to share my remaining time with. We will enjoy our songs together.
Music fills every moment of my life. A bird song, insect buzz and the melodies rolling around in my head. I’ll leave this tune with you to join in my happy journey. Don’t forget your morning beverage.
