I don’t know what I really have to add to this… but wordy bastard that I am, I know I’ll find something. But you can ignore that part if you want.
Mostly… just watch.
If you don’t have speakers, here’s a transcript, and I’ll be completely fair to all involved and give you the whole thing, just in case you think it’s out of context and Charlie Kirk didn’t get to really set this guy straight. Trust me, context never helps Charlie Kirk. (in the interest of same, the full-length vid is here).
AUDIENCE MEMBER: You're brave. You're brave for what you say, and the fact that you stand up there and say it, and I appreciate it. I think we all appreciate it actually, because there's not a lot of people that have the balls to do it. But I want to ask you something a little bit out of the ordinary, so prepare yourself. At this point, we're living under corporate and medical fascism. This is tyranny. When do we get to use the guns? No, and I'm not — that's not a joke. I'm not saying it like that. I mean, literally, where's the line? How many elections are they going to steal before we kill these people?
At this point it should be noted that the audience is clapping and cheering the idea of murdering people they disagree with. So it’s not just THIS guy, it’s a hell of a lot of ‘em. Maybe even the core of the whole damn movement.
CHARLIE KIRK (TURNING POINT USA FOUNDER): So, no, I – no, hold on. I – no – stop, hold on. Now, I'm going to denounce that and I'm going to tell you why. Because you're playing into all their plans and they're trying to make you do this. That's OK. Just hear me out. You started with a compliment, so at least give me a little bit. They are trying to provoke you and everyone here. They are trying to make you do something that will be violent that will justify a takeover of your freedoms and liberties, the likes of which we have never seen. We are close to have –
AUDIENCE MEMBER: They're already doing it.
KIRK: Hold on. We are close to have momentum to be able to get this country back on a trajectory using the peaceful means that we have at us. So to answer your question, and I just think it's, you know, overly blunt, we have to be the ones that do not play into the violent aims and ambitions of the other side. They fear – let me say this very clearly – they fear us holding the line with self-control and discipline, taking over school board meetings. They are the ones that are willing to use federal force against us.
And I know that people get fired up. We are living under fascism. We are living under this tyranny. But if you think for a second that they're not wanting you to all of a sudden get that next level where they're going to say, OK, we need Patriot Act 2.0. If you think that you know Waco is bad, wait until you see what they want to do next. What I'm saying is that we have a very fragile balance right now at our current time where we must exhaust every single peaceful mean possible.
I will say this, Idaho is not even started to exercise the peaceful means of state sovereignty against the federal government. Not even close. I'll give you five things Idaho could do right now. The governor of Idaho could sign an executive order that says there are no vaccine mandates for private, for public, for anyone. It's not going to happen. He could do that right now. Number two, the governor of Idaho could come out and he could say, OK, BLM, Bureau of Land Management, EPA, you're out. We're governing our own lands. We're in control of our own territories. You're out of the state of Idaho. Number three, Idaho could now – could pick and choose through the state legislature, which one of the federal laws they think actually applied to the Idaho Constitution. These things will push back against the tyranny you're talking about. A mistake would all of a sudden be getting into physical, violent confrontation. You think that this regime has all of a sudden sprung into action? Wait until they get what they want. They want that. Why would we give that to them? Follow up point.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: I just want to know, where's the line?
KIRK: The line is when we exhaust every single one of our state ability to push back against what's happening. We haven't even started. We have not even started the process of having Idaho or states like Idaho get back to self-government as our founders envisioned. They gave us state sovereignty. You outnumber the liberals like eight to one here in this state. Why don't we start to use that muscle peacefully through local government, through city council? We have even started doing that, my friend. I know you think like, oh, we have — man, not what I've seen from the state capital here in Idaho. I've seen pandering. I've seen, you know, trying to go to the middle and all this.
And so what is the line? Look, man, I think, I think we're – I think we're at the teetering edge of a regime that knows that good and decent Americans are going to get to the place in the movie Network, I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore, right? Well, guess what? Know that there's a deeper game at play. Understand the psychological warfare that's being played here. They're trying to animate you. They're trying to get you to do something that then justifies what they actually want to do. So what's the solution? We need to start to demand Idaho to be Idaho, and the federal government can stay out of the state of Idaho for most, just about everything. So thank you for being here tonight. Thank you.
Notice this chucklehead’s language: “When do we GET TO USE THE GUNS?”
GET TO.
Like he can’t freakin’ wait. Like a kid asking dad “are we there yet?” on a road trip because the destination’s Disneyland. Like it’s Christmas fucking morning and do we have to wait for dumb ol’ Aunt Sally to get here before we start opening presents? Daaaaad! “Why do I even have this cool AR if I don’t get to kill anybody? Aw, jeez.”
Yeah. When do we GET TO murder all the people we don’t agree with? Tell us when, Charlie!
Take note: the wholesale murder of the people they disagree with isn’t something they fear they’ll have to resort to. It’s something that they want to make happen, because they think it’ll be “fun.” They’re horny for killing.
Now, this crapsack’s probably a chairborne warrior veteran of hours and hours of Fortnite and Call of Duty and Doom and he’s seen all the John Wick movies ten times so he thinks he “knows stuff” when it comes to violent conflict. He — like most of the people who fantasize about things like this -- likely never experienced real violence in his life and so he assumes it’ll just be “cool” and “fun,” with no messy repercussions. He, of course, will be one of the ones who survives it. In fact, he’ll be a hero, and it’ll only take a couple days and he can go home and unpause his game because the power’ll still be on and Dominos will still be delivering. The smirky little mutt’s got NO IDEA what he’s talking about… but that doesn’t matter, because by the time guys like this figure out what the real repercussions of what they’re doing are, there’ll be a whole lot of dead and something put in motion that won’t stop for a long, long time… even though they might later decide they want it to. They don’t really know what they’re part of. They just want to take “owning the libs” to its next logical step.
And now let’s look at Charlie’s answer, which is, basically, “Hush, that’s bad P.R.” “I’m going to denounce it because if I don’t we’ll look bad.” Or, “Damn you for saying it out loud in front of cameras and making me address it! Shhhh! The first rule of Murder All The Democrats Club is you don’t talk about Murder All The Democrats Club! Gah, Chad, just blow it for everybody!”
Then Charlie — while “denouncing” -- proceeds to reinforce all the guy’s idiotic fears, rather than try to dial them back. “You’re right, Loonietoons Bangbang McCrazyfuck, but… shhh!” It’s not “here’s why you shouldn’t think that,” it’s “here’s why you shouldn’t say that.”
Because no way is Charlie going to dial them back, even for the good of the country, because radicalizing people and making them crazy is how guys like Charlie make their money. And they make a lot of it. There’s an industry of division in this country. It is, quite possibly, the most lucrative market going right now. That’s why FOX and Facebook are in trouble, because they’ve been turning out brainwashed idiots like Mr. Get-To there, and it’s become a big social problem and a threat… but it’s also still making a whole lot of money, so… can’t we keep it going a little while longer? Nothing big has blown up yet.
Setting American against American is monetized. There are people on YouTube raking in multi-million dollar incomes (or whatever it takes to build skate parks under your house, ala Tim Pool) on YouTube for filling the heads of idiots with “When do we GET TO use the guns?” garbage. The more afraid and angry they keep their audience, the more they’ll keep buying the product they’re hooked on. It’s a steam-driven machine so you gotta keep ‘em at a high boil. And to compete for the audience, the “content” (god, I hate that word, it’s the most undemanding term ever, like calling food “stuffing”) has to keep getting crazier and crazier and crazier, because Charlie’s gotta compete with crazyass Candace Owens for viewers, and she’s gotta compete with Tim Pool, and Tim Pool’s gotta compete with Styx, and Styx has gotta compete with Crowder and Ben Shapiro (and his sister who looks just like him) and Mark Dice and blah-de-blah all the way to apex lunkhead Joe Rogan. They just keep filling crazy people’s heads with well-crafted bullshit to make them believe they’re “educating themselves” and getting them upset until we end up with…
“When do we GET TO use the guns? When do we get to kill people?”
I know I say this all the time, but it bears repeating because some o’ y’all are still way too damn complacent for my comfort, especially when you think you can fuck around and “protest vote” and play purity games. See, I know guys like this “get to” asshole. I live in Mississippi, they’re everywhere here. They aren’t new. I’ve known them for decades. They stockpile ammunition like crazy, investing tens of thousands in it, until the floors of their houses are buckling under the weight of it all. Gun stores here can’t keep ammo in stock now because the hoarder demand is so high, and so now Tuesday is “ammo day” and they go buy the limit every single week. And it’s not because they’re shooting it. If that was the case, the South would be at least 30% bullethole now and nothing would be left standing. Nope, they’re saving it up because they hope, someday, to start killing us. It’s the subject of all their daydreams and fantasies, and it has been for years — they just feel safer saying it in public now because guys like Trump and all his attendant media has emboldened them. The want a white-skinned man’s world where they’ll never have to be challenged by any atheists or feminists or LGBT folk or “socialists” or “Antifa” or BLM or… you name it, you know who they hate, and you know how easily they sling all those terms around. If you don’t support Trump, you’re immediately all the way to “Communist” because, hell, why not, they don’t know what most of those words mean, anyway, they just know they hate ‘em and it’ll probably be lulz killing ‘em.
Now, the big ugly question: what do we do about it?
The little ugly answer is, I don’t fucking know, dude. I really don’t. I don’t know that much can be done other than to keep your head down and do what you can while it plays out. The genie’s out of the bottle already. I’m not sure we can put the pin back in this grenade. We can try, but a lot of the options aren’t great. I don’t think anybody wants to limit freedom of speech, but they’re forcing that to a crisis when they take advantage of everyone’s wish that everyone be able to say what they want to deliberately spread misinformation that imperils the country. But that misinformation and radicalization isn’t going to stop as long as it’s making money… and oh boy is it making money. What’s the old saying about “your virtues become weapons in the hands of your enemies”? Something like that? And I don’t think anybody wants to start getting violent ourselves — that’d be a goddamned bad idea. But you might want to be prepared so you’re able to shoot back if it’s forced on you by guys like that one. Of course nobody wants to overreach and start arresting people for “bad thoughts,” but there’s always a price to pay for that when guys like Mr. Get-To finally get impatient and start shooting folks. Nine times out of ten guys like that are just talking shit… but there’s always that tenth dude. We can keep putting pressure on elected officials to take what is clearly a domestic terrorism threat seriously, but if January 6th wasn’t enough to do that, I’m not sure what it’ll take.
All I can say is, remember the presidential daily briefing Dubya ignored, the “Bin Ladin determined to strike in the U.S.” thing? Well, we’ve got a bigger problem now, because it’s already within our borders and isn’t being watched all that much. We’re getting the equivalent of that PDB ten times a day, and still shrugging them off. That “when do we get to use the guns?” guy is just one in a long series. And it’s gonna drip, drip, drip, ‘til there’s a flood.
