As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

In March of 1989, Doctor Sam Becket stepped into a Quantum Accelerator, and vanished. For nearly 5 years from that date, two men lept through time, setting things right. and forming a friendship that would continue for Decades after the show Quantum Leap was Canceled by the networks. Scott Bakula, and Dean Stockwell , played Doctor Sam Becket, and Admiral Al Calavicci. For almost 5 years, they, and the fans who loved them, went on a romp through time.
In 1993, the show was canceled, but that is not where the story ends. Several years later, Bakula reappeared on Star Trek Enterprise. Near the end of the first season, an episode aired, under the name Detained, and it once again brought these two wonderful actors together, for a one night show, that if you paid close attention, read like a love letter to the fans of Quantum Leap.
Several years later in 2014, NCIS New Orleans aired an episode they called “Chasing Ghosts”. Again these two were brought together for one night only, and again it was a joy to see.
Earlier this week, Dean Stockwell died in his home, but rather than right about the loss, a subject that many others have covered in detail, I chose to write about a friendship that spanned -decades- throughout the careers of two men, and brought joy to thousands if not millions of fans.
