Many of us saw this coming.
With Florida Governor DeSantis (aka DeSatan) obviously positioning himself as a candidate for POTUS in 2024, thin-skinned trump would throw him under the bus.
It was only a matter of when and how. Now we know:
“If Florida governor Ron DeSantis does not order an audit of the 2020 election to expose the fact that there are over 1 million phantom voters on the Florida voter rolls in the Sunshine state I may be forced to seek the Libertarian party nomination for governor Florida in 2022," Stone wrote.
In a separate post, Stone reiterated the unsubstantiated claim that the 2020 election in Florida was riddled with fake voters, writing: "I heard governor Ron DeSantis say that Florida had the most honest election in our history in 2020 yet I know for certain there are 1 million phantom voters in the Florida voter rolls. These 'voters' simply do not exist."
Stone's statements come after DeSantis announced this month that Florida is not planning to conduct an audit of the 2020 presidential election results, despite growing calls from some Republicans to do so.

That’s right — others in the Florida GOP want an audit:
In September, the GOP in Lake County, near Orlando, approved resolutions to call on every state lawmaker to conduct an audit of the 2020 election. MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has also pushed the baseless claim that Trump won Florida by about three times as many votes. www.businessinsider.com/...
That’s not all. In an interview with the Sun-Sentinel, Stone added another demand of DeSantis:
“…He says he also wants DeSantis to step up support for Donald Trump, who he considers the “strongest candidate” for president in 2024.
…DeSantis isn’t doing enough to help Trump, Stone told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Monday. “I would also like the governor to declare his support for a 2024 presidential bid by President Trump which he has not done,” Stone said via text message. “I cannot speculate as to why the governor has not urged the former president to run but I feel strongly that President Trump would be the strongest candidate.”
“…Stone wrote that he had “no allusions about being elected governor but I may have to take action so that voters who share my views should have an alternative in the next election.”

In September, trump put the screws to Texas Governor Abbott for an audit of the 2020 election and he promptly complied.
The agency did not explain why it was auditing elections in Collin, Dallas, Harris and Tarrant counties….
… The announcement came hours after Republican former President Donald Trump requested Gov. Greg Abbott add an election audit bill to this year’s third special session. While Trump lost his reelection bid, he did win in Texas.
…It was unclear if Trump's request spurred the announcement from the secretary of state’s office. Texas does not currently have a secretary of state. Former Secretary of State Ruth Ruggero Hughs, who oversaw the 2020 elections, resigned when the Texas Senate refused to confirm her appointment. Abbott has not yet picked a replacement. A spokesperson for the governor did not immediately respond to a question about the audits late Thursday.

Will DeSantis obey his master and audit Florida like Abbott is doing in Texas?
Ronnie DeSatan already said there was no need for an audit in his state – will he stick to his proverbial guns?
I truly hope so.
Nothing would thrill me more than seeing Roger Stone on the Florida ballot in 2022.
