So back in the 2016 Presidential Election Hilary Clinton promised to spend $500billion on Infrastructure.
This produced a macho response from Donald Trump that he would spend double that and spend $1trillion dollars on infrastructure. Just like the promise to release his tax returns before the 2016 election (the easiest promise ever made by a politician because all he had to do was make 1 phone call and an accountant could release what had previously been released to the IRS) things didn’t pan out. Well, something happened over the next 4 years.
The first priority was to strangle Obamacare. Allegedly there was a plan to replace it with “superior coverage at a fraction of the cost”. Details were scant. Perhaps one should say non existent, and to provide details would be more arduous than a single phone call. Golf beckoned. Nothing changed.
Then, importantly, the problem of “the rich” not being rich enough needed to be addressed. This aspect of American life was addressed and plenty of Golf was played.
Then He droned on like a bore and kept saying that we were in “Infrastructure Week”. For the average American a week has 7 days and after that we are existing in the following week. But not for Him. He was unable to provide a single detail about his infrastructure plan but kept repeating the phrase “Infrastructure Week”. For Him “Infrastructure Week” was a fantasy. Details never emerged but the Golf course beckoned.
In brief, when it came to infrastructure, Trump was impotent, but Biden’s got Balls.
