This just up on my LinkedIn feed here:

Some of the largest U.S. hospital systems have dropped Covid-19 vaccine mandates for staff after a federal judge temporarily halted a Biden administration mandate that healthcare workers get the shots.
Hospital operators including HCA Healthcare Inc. and Tenet Healthcare Corp. as well as nonprofits AdventHealth and the Cleveland Clinic are dropping the mandates.
My son described it best, “that’s just depressing”.
A comment on the LinkedIn post said:
It was just a matter of time before they blinked.....shutting out 30% of your labor force is a non-starter.
Maybe because we need to get this freaking disease under control?
This is just mind boggling — maybe hospitals are right to cancel all elective surgery — come in for a surgery, stay for the COVID.
Sigh — personally, I just think is a way for hoospitals to avoid having to raise pay with a side benefit of higher usage rates. One more brick on the road to hell. Placed there by one of TFG’s puppet judges.

Update:
But SCOTUS just denied case against NY vaccine mandate — from CNBC here.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied an emergency bid to block enforcement of New York’s coronavirus vaccine mandate for health care workers.
Maybe reason will prevail
