My asthma is really acting up right now, but I wanted to express my deep appreciation for the amazing kindness of my Daily Kos family ! Power went out around six am yesterday and came on just a little bit ago. This is a once in a lifetime storm for my area, San Marcos Texas, which is located almost exactly in the middle of Austin and San Antonio. I am completely overwhelmed by the kindness and graciousness of this community ; I can’t begin to thank you enough ! Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t know how long the power will stay on. It was supposed to be a “rolling” blackout, but my building in the apartment complex stayed off until just now. I am charging everything. I have wrapped around Mighty Little Fluffy the Great and I have been consumed by worry for her during this time ! Because of the kindness o this community, I now I will be able to get the things we need ! Again, electricity very well may go off again.
.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Yesterday, I saw a college student who lives in the apartment complex ( almost all the residents are college students) leaving in his car. I ran out and implored him to let me charge my phone which he did for a few minutes. He had to leave. He was going to his friend’s place where his dog is. So, that’s not his fault. He could only do that for five minutes. I wore 2 masks and my face shield and had socks on my hands (if I remember correctly). He didn’t have a mask on. I did not go inside his car. I waited outside. Other than passing him my cell phone, I stayed far away from him. I then went back inside. It was my only encounter with any risk in months. Hopefully, he didn’t have it and I didn’t catch it. I apologize for including this. I am just paranoid about the novel coronavirus.
Thank you so, so very much to my Daily Kos community !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mighty Little Fluffy the Great seems to be recovering well ! I wrapped around her and did everything to keep her warm and safe and happy and kept her purring during this time. She always knows how much I love her, but she knew that even more during this terrible time. She is demanding my attention now after the storm.
