Remember Scott Walker, the loathsome former Governor of Wisconsin, destroyer of unions, taker from the poor and workers to give to the rich, toast of Wisconsin hate radio programs and Foxy Newz, pollution enabler who never met a strip mine or criminal corporation that donated to his campaign that he didn’t help to his utmost ability, Gerrymanderer in Chief, voter suppressionist extraordinaire, defunder of our most wonderful state university and demeaner of teachers?
Yeah, that guy...
He’s gone into his Quiet Routine for 2 years after losing re-election in 2018. The same disappearing act he would go into for a year before he was up for re-election: staying quiet, not making news, having zero press availability unless it’s hate radio where he probably earns frequent flyer miles. The purpose was to make people to forget how awful he was and all the reasons they should never vote for him again. Yes, sadly, it worked.
He’s back….

Former Republican Gov. Scott Walker — who has voted absentee frequently in recent elections — now says absentee ballots should be limited to people in nursing homes or deployed in the military.
Yes, you read that right. While he DID vote in person in last weeks election for State School Superintendent, he’s voted absentee for 6 of the last 8 elections.
It’s the Republican Way: Do as I say and not as I do.
He’s not done, either:
Please check out the replies on Twitter (click the blue bird in the upper right corner). They’re delicious.
One of the best:
By the way, that Bucky Badgers red shirt is the second of TWO political costumes he wears (the other is a long sleeved light blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up exactly 3 times that he uses for campaigns or “I’m just a regular guy like you” occasions). By the way, get a job, man.
Now is the time for election integrity measures.
Now is the time for him to STFU!
What he listed in his tweet are mostly already in place because he enacted them. Thanks to Walker, we now have the most restrictive voter requirements in the country because they were rammed through and signed into law by this guy. He’s just pretending that voting in Wisconsin in lawless and needs fixing with hopes that nobody remembers how he changed voting and elections.
Like Voter ID — he’s the guy that so narrowly defined “approved voter ID” that a gun permit or hunting license was fine as voter ID, but state university student ID or welfare ID just wasn’t good enough. I’m waiting for them to require fingerprints, retinal scans, and DNA confirmatory blood samples to verify voters when the GOP loses future elections.
But they lost in 2020 so there’s “something wrong” with elections and voting that must.be.fixed so they can win again! When Republicans lose it’s always time to suppress voting even more, gerrymander even more, and question “election integrity”. After all, only elections won by Republicans are considered “fair” and legal.
And that whiny little weasel was petty enough in his lame duck period to sign legislation to severely restrict the powers of the incoming Governor when he lost his re-election bid. Strong with soreloserism is this one.
So Scott Walker needs to crawl back under his rock, keep voting absentee, and leave the rest of us alone! We.Do.Not.Miss.Him.

In Cancún Cruz's text message soap opera keeps reaching new levels in hilarity by Dartagnan, Cruz was quoted as saying, “Just don’t be assholes,” which caused a number of Kossacks to wax poetic about the demise of irony. Check out this comment by kay dub, this one by RedDan, this one by stevemb, and this one by jfromga.
Highlighted by BrowniesAreGood:
This comment by Mother Mags on a recommended answer when Ted Cruz gets asked why he was texting during an important hearing on the January 6 insurrection rather than listening. From Here’s Sen. Ted Cruz texting during congressional hearing on Jan. 6 security failures by Walter Einenkel.
From your host:
I got a big laugh from Michael Kal’s comment on the decline of Mike Lindells pillow business. From 'My Pillow's Mike Lindell bemoans losing 20 retail outlets costing him $65 Million in sales in 2021 by Lefty Coaster.
