I called in sick today with a cold. Just the usual: sniffles, sinus pressure and some grogginess. I called into the clinic, and they didn’t seem very concerned, it didn’t seem like COVID. But I’m taking some time off work, and I’m getting a COVID-19 test tomorrow. Normally, having a cold would be hardly worth mentioning at all. But since I’m not totally sure it’s not COVID, I don’t want to risk getting the rest of my coworkers sick. If I’m feeling better tomorrow, I may arrange to take some work home while I wait for test results. My workplace does pretty good with masking and social distancing, but I don’t want to take chances.
