A federal grand jury indicted a Titusville man Monday on a list of felony charges related to the Capitol riot.
Kenneth Harrelson was in federal court in Orlando, where he admitted to being a member of the Oath Keepers and being in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, the day a crowd of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol. While on the stand, Harrelson denied being part of any riot.

After Harrelson took the stand, a judge ordered he remain in federal custody as the U.S. Marshal’s office looks into the case. Harrelson is currently being held in the Seminole County Jail and is expected to be transported to Washington, D.C., where he will remain in custody until he faces trial.
If convicted, Harrelson could face 36 years in prison.

The probable cause affidavit for charging Harrelson says he is a co-conspirator along with Jessica Watkins, Donovan Crowl, Thomas Caldwell, Sandra Parker, Bennie Parker, Graydon Young, Laura Steele, Kelly Meggs and Connie Meggs. They were charged separately by a federal grand jury on Feb. 19.

Harrelson's co-conspirators are identified as part of a group of individuals seen in a "stack" formation dressed in tan and camouflage tactical gear adorned with Oath Keeper insignia. In a video screenshot from the affidavit, the FBI identifies Harrelson near the stack.

The FBI notes that phones associated to Harrelson and Meggs exchanged calls on January 4 in addition to exchanging multiple calls throughout December 2020. The FBI also cites payments made by Harrelson to Oath Keepers, Inc. in July, October and November 2020.
Additional communications captured during the Jan. 6 assault transmitted over the walkie-talkie phone application Zello indicate that Harrelson's co-conspirators had organized a group of 30 to 40 individuals. Those communications are transcribed in the affidavit.

At a hearing in federal court in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, prosecutors said they anticipate up to six or more additional defendants could be added to that conspiracy case.
For now, Harrelson has been charged separately. According to the affidavit, Harrelson worked with the defendants in that case to breach the Capitol, damage property and obstruct Congress' certification of Joe Biden's electoral college victory.
The FBI says Harrelson can be seen in a video from Jan. 6 inside the Rotunda of the Capitol with alleged Oath Keepers and others who forcibly entered the building in "stack" formation.
Harrelson can be seen in photos from later in the day with people affiliated with the Oath Keepers outside the Capitol, including Kelly Meggs, Graydon Young and Laura Steele—all of whom are already facing conspiracy charges.

Kenneth Harrelson denied in court he conspired with roughly 40 members of the Oath Keepers, a loose-knit, far-right, anti-government group and said his health was deteriorating behind bars.
