Today I begin my boycott of all things Georgia. No Home Depot, no Coca Cola, no UPS , no Waffle House, no Delta Airlines, no Cox Communications, no ATT Mobility, no Chick-Fil-A, no Don Pablos, no Hooters, no Huddle House, no Moes Southwest Grill, no Mohawk Carpet, no Newell Rubbermaid, no Popeyes, no Rayovac batteries , no Spanx, no SunTrust Bank, no Teds Montana Grill, no TBS, no Zaxbys, no Blimpies, no UGA football games, no Race Trac...and I am sure there are more.
The great thing is that every last one of those corporations have competitors who will suit my needs perfectly well.
CNN gets a pass from me. All the rest will be on my boycott list until they take a public position against the legislation rammed through yesterday behind closed doors regarding voting rules in Georgia.
I live in Florida. A couple of times a year, my wife and I depart our hellish humidity for the cool of the North Carolina mountains. We have been stopping over in Savannah coming and going to enjoy a truly beautiful old Southern city. No more. We will not be purchasing gas or buying meals in the state of Georgia. Beaufort or Charleston , SC , will be our alternative for the Savannah stopover.
When we fly, we will not be flying through Atlanta any more.
Hopefully others of you will choose to do the same. Especially the winter Floridians who travel through Georgia.
