It is Friday and the end of a long week. Reid is doing better but still no release date. He wants to come home so bad. He is lonely and hates the food there. I keep calming him down and letting him know he is getting better. The doctor has spoken to me a couple of times. We have a great rapport and he thinks I am doing a fantastic job as a caregiver. I’d show you my Super Caregiver cape but it is in the laundry basket and I don’t have enough for a full load yet.
The above picture is of Nurse Pixie. I finally got a picture of her eyes when they were glowing that alien green. She has been taking care of her mommy while I’ve been ill. I have learned all sorts of new sleeping techniques from her in the last couple days. I also learned a 12½ pound cat can break the sound barrier if you open up a package of cookies and she races from one room to the other.
I want to thank all of you who have been supporting me through this last hospitalization of Reid. Your prayers, good wishes, etc. have really helped. I have had the greatest couple of people to talk to professionally who give wonderful positive advice on caregiving and taking care of the caregiver. They also tell me how to tune out the nattering nabobs of negativity.
