The NYT identified Minuta as one of six Oath Keepers who provided Stone security at the pre-insurrection rally...
Seattle Times
Roberto Minuta breached the Capitol grounds and “aggressively berated and taunted U.S. Capitol police officers” during the Jan. 6 insurrection, the FBI said in court papers.
Minuta, 36, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, had been “equipped with military-style attire and gear, including apparel emblazoned with a crest related to the Oath Keepers,” the FBI said, referring to the far-right antigovernment militia.
The New York Times identified Minuta as one of six people who provided security to Stone in the hours before the assault on the Capitol. Stone, who was pardoned after his sentence for several felony charges was initially commuted by Trump, was in Washington the day of the assault but has denied any involvement.
It goes without saying that he’s a gun nut...
ABC 7 New York
He was armed with pepper spray or bear spray that day and federal prosecutors said he was "spoiling for a fight." Prosecutors said it's clear he was coordinating with other Oath Keepers on the day itself.
He is charged with Obstruction of Congress and Unlawful Entry.
"Minuta and others affiliated with the Oath Keepers breached the U.S. Capitol grounds, where Minuta aggressively berated and taunted U.S. Capitol police officers responsible for protecting the Capitol and the representatives inside of the Capitol," according to court records.
When he left the Capitol, he said, "all that's left is the Second Amendment." He has 10 registered firearms.
He’s also provided security for Mike Flynn and Alex Jones...
The Daily Beast
When Oath Keeper Rob Minuta provided security for Roger Stone on the day of the Capitol riot, it wasn’t his first time providing muscle for a top Trump aide. Imagery obtained by The Daily Beast shows Minuta marched alongside former Trump National Security Adviser Mike Flynn when he attended a similar march in Washington, D.C. in December which sought to overturn the 2020 election.
His appearance in similar roles for Flynn and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones at pro-Trump rallies after the election highlights the troubling network of connections between members of the far-right militia and some of Trump’s closest advisers and supporters.
ABC News first reported that Minuta was one of the Oath Keepers seen providing security for Roger Stone on the day of the riot. Minuta’s wife told the news outlet her husband didn’t enter the Capitol and he hasn’t been charged with a crime or accused of wrongdoing.
Last week his Tattoo Parlor was allegedly vandalized...
Times Herald-Record
Newburgh tattoo artist Roberto Minuta made headlines in May when he defied state orders and reopened his shop.
He gained infamy in January, when video footage placed him with Roger Stone and in the middle of the riots at the Capitol, wearing an Oath Keepers cap.
This week he’s in the public eye again, though this time as the victim of an apparent crime.
Minuta’s shop, Casa Di Dolore Tattoo Parlor, was vandalized this week.
The FBI is still seeking the public’s assistance in identifying individuals who participated in unlawful conduct during the Capitol Insurrection.
