The Feds have arrested some idiot from Texas who planned to blow up an Amazon Web Services building in Ashburn, Virginia...
The Hill
Federal prosecutors announced on Friday that Seth Aaron Pendley, 28, was arrested by the FBI in Fort Worth, Texas, on Thursday after he attempted to purchase explosives from an undercover agent.
According to an FBI affidavit filed with a federal district court in Texas, Pendley was seeking to blow up an Amazon Web Services data center in Ashburn, Va., which is about 30 miles from Washington, D.C.

"I'm not a dumbass suicide bomber but even if I only have a handful of fellow patriots standing beside me I will happily die a young man knowing that I didn't allow the evils in this world to continue unjustly treating my fellow Americans so disrespectfully," Pendley allegedly wrote under the pseudonym "Dionysus."
The affidavit says that Pendley also wrote of his plans to bring a firearm with him to attend the rally of Trump supporters on Jan. 6, only to leave it in his car at the last second.
This guy was at the insurrection...

An investigation began after a concerned citizen contacted the FBI on Jan. 8 about alarming statements posted on MyMilitia.com, a forum dedicated to organizing militia groups.
A user who went by the screenname “Dionysus” stated he was planning to “conduct a little experiment,” that he said would “draw a lot of heat” and could be “dangerous.” When another user asked what outcome Dionysus desired, he responded, “death,” the release said.

In late January, Pendley began using Signal, an encrypted messaging app, to communicate with another confidential source. The source told the FBI that Pendley stated he planned to use C-4 plastic explosives to attack a prominent tech company’s data centers in an attempt to “kill off about 70 percent of the internet.”
On March 31 the confidential source introduced Pendley to a person he claimed was an explosives supplier. The man was actually an undercover FBI employee.
He’s watched people getting arrested for months...
The Washington Post
Shortly before his arrest, Pendley allegedly told the undercover FBI agent that he wanted to attack the Amazon data center because he believed it provided computer services to major U.S. government agencies, and that an attack on the building could take down most of the Internet in America, as well as harm government operations and anger “the oligarchy.”
On Thursday, Pendley met with the undercover agent in Fort Worth, Tex., and took from him a number of devices he was told were explosives, and was told how to detonate them, according to an FBI affidavit filed in the case. After placing the inert devices in his car, Pendley was arrested.
After the arrest, Pendley admitted “to having orchestrated the plan to attack the AWS data centers” and a subsequent search of his home found a sawed off AR-style weapon, notes and hand-drawn maps about the planned attack, wigs and masks, and “a pistol which had been painted to look like a toy gun,” according to the affidavit.
And he still tried to pull this shit...
DOJ Press Release
“We are indebted to the concerned citizen who came forward to report the defendant’s alarming online rhetoric. In flagging his posts to the FBI, this individual may have saved the lives of a number of tech workers,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Prerak Shah. “We are also incredibly proud of our FBI partners, who ensured that the defendant was apprehended with an inert explosive device before he could inflict real harm. The Justice Department is determined to apprehend domestic extremists who intend to commit violence, no matter what political sentiment drives them to do so.”
“The FBI’s highest priority is ensuring public safety and we thoroughly investigate all credible threats,” said Dallas Special Agent in Charge Matthew J. DeSarno. “We continually ask the public to report suspicious or threatening behavior to law enforcement, and in this instance, that vigilance may have prevented injuries and the destruction of property.”
The FBI continues to seek the public’s assistance in identifying individuals who participated in unlawful conduct during the Capitol Insurrection.
