NBC’s Andrea Mitchell and CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time featured a Ukranian official who is now telling the truth about Giuliani’s activities in Ukraine.
Igor Novikov is telling all the details about what has happened with the former administration.
Andrea Mitchell:
What did you hear Rudy Giuliani say to President Zelensky’s top advisor?
Igor Novikov:
Basically it was all a smear campaign against not even a candidate (yet) Joe Biden.
He was especially interested in getting Ukraine to make a public statement and possibly back it up, this crazy allegation that Ukraine, not Russia, meddled in the 2016 election.
Igor Novikov is the former advisor to Ukrainian President Zelensky.
He testifies to Lev Parnas and others who worked with Giuliani to try to pressure Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden or support an investigation on ‘dirt’ on Biden.
Parnas, as you might remember was indicted and convicted. He was also found to be allied with Devin Nunes in this little story about how Rep. Eric Swalwell enters it into the record: Lev Parnas helped Rep.Devin Nunes’ investigations
Lev Parnas, an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani, helped arrange meetings and calls in Europe for Rep. Devin Nunes in 2018, Parnas’ lawyer Ed MacMahon told The Daily Beast.
Nunes aide Derek Harvey participated in the meetings, the lawyer said, which were arranged to help Nunes’ investigative work. MacMahon didn’t specify what those investigations entailed.
Nunes is the top Republican on the House committee handling the impeachment hearings—hearings where Parnas’ name has repeatedly come up.
Congressional records show Nunes traveled to Europe from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 2018. Three of his aides—Harvey, Scott Glabe, and George Pappas—traveled with him, per the records. U.S. government funds paid for the group’s four-day trip, which cost just over $63,000.
The travel came as Nunes, in his role on the House Intelligence Committee, was working to investigate the origins of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian election-meddling.
Parnas’ assistance to Nunes’ team has not been previously reported. A spokesperson for Nunes did not respond to requests for comment.
You might have noticed that one of the most vocal politicos from the GOP
Devin Nunes has seemingly been on ‘radio silence’ since that story came out.
You can bet he is watching this case with his own case of the vapors, hoping it would not resurface….
Also, the ethically compromised politicos of Ukraine wanted and GOT Giuliani to get rid of Ambassador Yovanovitch because of her anti-corruption work in Ukraine. The wheels of justice turn slow, but all of Yovanovitch’s testimony is also on sworn testimony before the House and Senate.
Novikov also stated that Time Magazine will have a fuller interview on this subject, and is willing to testify under oath to the US federal government as much as he can as a Ukrainian citizen.
To those of you reading, I do have some legal questions:
1. how does a foreigner testify in our judicial system?
2. what legal recourse does the Ukrainian government have to prosecute an US citizen, like Giuliani?
3. what crimes are likely to be charged to Giuliani in this case from the raid that has been done by the FBI?
