Kevin McCarthy, you tell your constituents and the Republican Congressional caucus that Trump’s claim of a stolen election is true. I think you owe it to them to assure them that you’re telling the truth. Honest people don’t want to live a lie, but for many these days their thinking is guided by belief in a malicious falsehood. (Or, in come cases, a shameful lust for power.)
They should know whether or not you’re perpetuating a fallacy that damages American democracy.
So take a lie detector test and confirm that you’re telling the truth about the lie.
I'll wager you won’t get within a hundred yards of a lie detector.
Even better, how about a session of brain fingerprinting analysis? This is a technique that has, I believe, proved virtually infallible in detecting what a person really knows/thinks about a specific thing. I researched it and used it for a trial scene in one of my novels (Gundown, free download here) and it’s fascinating. With the right questions, the brain emits signals that reveal the truth of the matter. And you can’t fool it with a lie.
So c’mon, Keith. Stand up and take a Big Lie detector test.
If you don’t, may the sounds of a clucking chicken follow you through the halls of Congress.
