"Because Second Amendment!!!"

     In December of 2012, twenty elementary school kids were blown away in the Sandy Hook massacre. Some time after the tragedy, the father of one of the victims spoke publicly, and asked the crowd why any private citizen needs to own an AR-15. Someone immediately shouted out a two-word answer: “Second Amendment!”

     Well, I guess it’s all settled then. Because of strong opposition from the gun lobby, who assert a supposedly “principled” position that any new restrictions of gun sales would be unconstitutional, nothing has been done. In the USA, any individual with a desire to commit a bloody gun massacre can easily obtain a high-capacity firearm; and a large and very vocal segment of the nation insists upon keeping it that way.

     Why? “Because Second Amendment!!!”
