Fox News’ Steve Doocy left the door wide open, and Jen Psaki walked right through it. She ensured it was inferred that the GOP voted to defund the police.

There was back and forth between Steve Doocy and Jen Psaki, where she first corrected his narrative. It was ‘Crime Prevention Rollout’ Steve, not ‘Crime Rollout.’ These simple things must be corrected because a misinforming Fox News would use it to mislead its listeners.
Steve then pointed out that crime has increased in big cities. She immediately made it clear it had much to do with guns.
Then came his silly question. He wanted to know how one can reduce violent crimes by institutions work and summer jobs. It seems if Doocy is unable to correlate crime to socioeconomic conditions that include employment, he must not have learned much in high school, let alone college.
Psaki answered appropriately. She clarified that employment was just one aspect among many things the administration intends to do, but employment has been proven to be part of the solution.
After some further silly statements by Doocy, he left the door open for Psaki to tag the Republican Party appropriately.
“Part of his announcement is ensuring there is specific guidance to communities across the country to ensure that they have funding to get more community police around the country, something that was supported by the American Jobs Plan,” Jen Psaki said. “That was voted into law by Democrats just a couple of months ago. Some might say that the other party was for defunding the police. I will let others say that. But, that’s a piece.”
That was a work of art. She placed it in the right place with the correct context. She is fast on her feet.
