From The Daily Beast:
xI will share what I know when I can but Bob is one of the strongest people I know both physically and spiritually. He WILL get through this.— david cross✍ (@davidcrosss) July 28, 2021 Bob Odenkirk, who plays lawyer Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman on the popular Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, has been hospitalized. The 58-year-old reportedly collapsed on set during shooting of the sixth and final season of the series in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The story was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by other media outlets. His condition remains unclear but he is thought to have been hospitalized overnight. Odenkirk has won four Emmy Award nominations for his acting. He most recently appeared in the action film Nobody. His friend and Mr. Show co-star David Cross posted overnight that he couldn’s share all he know, but that Odenkirk was “one of the strongest people I know both physically and spiritually. I am a huge fan of Odenkirk’s work from his work on Saturday Night Live (he wrote the Matt Foley Motivational Speaker sketches with Chris Farley), The Ben Stiller Show and Mr. Show and I started watching Breaking Bad when I first heard he was part of the cast. I will also argue that I think Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad and Nobody was the first movie I went to go see in theaters after getting vaccinated. By the way, I also loved how he played an actor who played the President on TV and then became the President in real life in the Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron movie, Long Shot. I also had the privilege of taking photos of Odenkirk performing improv with a few of his former Mr. Show colleagues in Los Angeles back in February 2020 before the pandemic. It was a charity event to raise money for The Yard Theater. I also had the pleasure of meeting him twice in person and he is a very sweet and nice guy. He even autographed a Saul Goodman action figure for me along with a book of his short stories, his two scripts he co-wrote with David Cross and my deluxe Blu-Ray pack of the first season of Better Call Saul. I wish Odenkirk a speedy recovery. You can look at the photos I took of him below:
