Happy Friday! Today is grocery day. And I have to remember to get things I can handle making or Draco can. Bit leaves on Sunday to go spend a week with Mom while she goes to CNA school. It’s so hard to believe she’s 18 already, an adult, and ready to get on with her career.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

It’s a good thing and I’m proud of her, but also a little sad. On the plus side she’s planning on living here while she works for a while and then goes to college to get a degree as an OT. So she’s not moving out for any length of time just yet. I can’t fund her education, but I can help by making sure she has a roof over her head and food on her plate.
I guess it helps a little that today, she was watching Tik-toks made by other people her age, some whose parents can’t accept their gender or sexual orientation, some who just have parents who did things like removing their bedroom doors or were just very controlling; and said “You know, some parents really suck. I’m glad my parents don’t really suck.” (yes, this is a good thing)
So, from a parent who doesn’t really suck… hope you have a great weekend!!! I strongly suspect next week is going to suck in many ways, at least for us.
