Greetings and welcome to another of my photographical diaries. This week I’ve got a dozen or so pictures from my week exploring the outlying streets, woods and waters around the Czech town of Rakovník.
As always, I’m just kicking off a little community open thread, and posting it past my bedtime. My late replies to any questions or comments are practically guaranteed.
First off, the burning question: did Marko finally finish off that pile of wood?
We returned to the big city briefly and the next day, Mrs the Werelynx and I left to visit some friends in a little village near the town of Rakovník. No sooner had we arrived and unpacked than we drove back through town and went on a long hike which followed the course of two small rivers and passed several ponds.
Our route also took us past a few landmarks.
That evening the lads arrived and we had a cookout with our friends.
The next day was one of both work and play.
After lunch we drove back in to Rakovník to a large pond that doubles as a recreation area. It was an area where people could camp overnight or just visit for the day, with rows of changing cabins, diving boards, a water slide and a small beach along one side of the pond. We set out our towels along the more natural opposite bank.
I should have much more from this week to share over the next couple of my diaries.
Thanks for stopping by.
